Blanket distribution on Netaji's Birthday

On the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday, Rotary Club of Central Gardens Calcutta carried out a meaningful act of service by donating 100 blankets to safai karmacharis, cleaning and maintenance staff, and security personnel at KWIC Howrah. This gesture was a heartfelt tribute to those who work tirelessly to keep our surroundings safe and clean, ensuring dignity and comfort for them during the harsh winter months. The event was graced by President Debobeena R. Banerjee, President Elect Sreekumar Rakshit, Rtn Ashok Basu from RC Calcutta, Secretary Elect Shabnam Bhowmick, Inner Wheel President Meena Basu, and Iti Rakshit. Their presence underscored the Rotary spirit of service above self and the importance of recognizing the contributions of unsung heroes in our daily lives. The initiative not only honored Netaji’s legacy of selfless service but also strengthened the bond between the community and those who serve it with dedication.
