Sit-and-Draw competition for 60 children of the age group 5-15 years.

About the Project
On
Mahalaya Day 21st September 2025, the Rotary Club of Central Gardens
Calcutta in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club of Kolkata West
Gardens E-Club, organized a Sit-and-Draw competition for 60 children
aged between 5 and 15 years at Shashtitala Barwari Temple at
Narkeldanga, Kolkata. This project was to encourage children of that
community to be creative and demonstrate their talents. It was also a
drive towards RC branding and showcasing our club’s outreach and
service. Shashtitala Barwari Durga Puja Committee displayed our
Thalassemia banner for upcoming projects for the entire duration of
Durga Puja festivities. 10 of the best artwork were given special prizes
which included a school bag with drawing books, art materials and other
stationery items. All the participants were also given pencil boxes
with stationery items as a mark of appreciation and encouragement. The
winners' artworks were on display with our Thalassemia Awareness posters
during the entire Puja celebrations.
