Tailoring Training for Women- Self Help Group

RC Central Gardens Calcutta has taken an initiative to provide training stitching training in the outskirts area of city in sodepur , created a self help group consisting 15 women form underprivileged segment of the society in association with our RCC Otho Jago Society , from sodepur . The initiative is a Joint collaboration of our Club RC Central Gardens Calcutta, RCC Otho Jago Society & Nehru Yuva Kendra Sngathan (NYKS) -an autonomous organization under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. aiming towards the empowerment of women and in accordance to the focus area of Rotary “growing local economies” . Our club has donated two stitching machines; NYKS is providing the support of necessary training to enhance the skills to the self help group. The initial batch has been started on 2nd July ‘2020 , training tenure will be 3 months after completion they will produce ladies garments and will be sold in local markets in initial phase.
